Typo London 2011 Places - JOKER WILD CARD
Last week one of the biggest design talks - Typo London 2011 Places was storming the capital of England. With the most impressive speakers list - it was a total temptation that was difficult to resist. Unfortunately, due to last minute change of plans, I’ve managed to see only 1 speaker - Morag Myerscough, who was as always - brilliant!

Imaginary Menagerie @ Text Gallery
Last evening, small Text gallery based in WC1 was completely packed with people who came to the opening of Imaginary Menageries exhibition, where 19 designers from all around the world were exhibiting their tongue-twisting interpretations. It was very sweet to to watch and listen to people trying to read the tongue twisters in perfection, not just in English, but in Russian, Spanish and other languages as well.
Yesterday I was there to support Morag Myerscough (neon installation / Where She Shines) and Cartlidge Levene ( lamp shades/ Five Palindromes* [*Palindromes are phrases of words which read the same backwards as they do forwards.). I really really liked Ryan Dixon's (poster / Pistols Packing Punks) piece, unfortunately it was exhibited so close to the bar (which was overcrowded) that I didn't manage to photograph it. The exhibition is open until 19th November 2011. For more info please click here.

80 + ARTISTS 100 + HOURS
This Friday I went to Kerry Ryan’s curated 80 + ARTISTS 100 + HOURS exhibition where 80 artists/designers were exhibiting 95 pieces. Among them were two very good friends – Morag Myerscough with her scribble neon saying Cunts and Luke Morgan with his typographic skull – Not Collin. Of course they were the best! But alongside of them I really liked: Tracey Emin’s – I woke up wanting to kiss you neon, Polly Morgan’s – Receiver, Marcus Mitchell’s – Dead Tit, Douglas Gordon’sneon saying – I’m a designer of my own catastrophy, Franko B – Boy, Dean Whatmuff’s – Ace of Spades.
Ohh… and that burlesque dancer… I liked her as well!
